While I was pregnant, I wanted to know what went in to everything I used. I also wanted to know how everything that was done to me would affect my unborn baby. I realized there was so much I did not know. Figuring that there were others out there like me, I decide to put our collective mind at ease by creating a company that would sell only  pregnancy-safe products.

I was in a great place while I was pregnant; I was a ZenMomma! But when I went in to pre-term labor, I was put on bed rest, so my company and ideas were put on hold. My 2003 birthday brought my greatest gift ever:  my son , who had a full head of hair that I could not wait to wash. I was excited because I’d finally get to use all the lotions and bath wash I received at my baby shower. There was one problem, though. My bright eyed baby boy was allergic to everything--from dairy to the adhesive on a bandage to all the pretty lotion and body wash bottles in the middle. This little problem took me from the birth of my live baby cakes, to the birth of Baby Cakes by ZenMomma. (Baby Cakes is my son's nickname. I think he is cute enough to eat. He is a baby cake! I know you think your baby is, too!)
